What this policy covers
K&D Lafayette Masonry and Concrete is a masonry contractor in Lafayette, LA. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website, fill out our form or call us about a job, how we use it, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it.
It applies to every page of this site, starting with our home page, and to the information you give us while we're working out an estimate or doing work at your house. If you want to know more about who we are before reaching out, our About page covers that.
Information you give us
We collect the information you choose to send us. When you ask for an estimate, that's usually your name, phone number, email address, the address of the job and a description of what you need done. Sometimes it also includes photos of the brick, block, stone or concrete you want us to look at.
Our contact form is run by an outside form service, so what you type into it passes through that service before it reaches us. That service handles your information under its own privacy policy as well as this one.
When you call us, we may write down your name, number and job details so we can call you back and set up a visit.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, ours collects some information on its own when you visit. That can include the pages you look at, how long you stay, the site or search that sent you here, your browser and device type and a general location based on your internet connection.
We collect this through analytics tools and cookies, which are small files your browser stores so a site can recognize a return visit or count traffic. We use them to see which pages people find useful and where the site needs work. We don't use them to identify you by name.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though some features like the form may behave differently.
How we use your information
We use what you send us to answer your question, schedule an estimate, prepare a quote, do the work and follow up afterward. We use the site data described above to keep the website running and make it easier to use.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't rent it or trade it to anyone for their marketing. We won't add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the companies that help us run the business and the website, such as our form service, website host and analytics provider, and only so they can do that job for us.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our business, our crew or our customers if a dispute or a safety issue comes up.
How long we keep it
We keep your information as long as we need it to answer you, finish your job and keep the records any business has to keep, like estimates, invoices and payment records for taxes and accounting.
If an estimate doesn't turn into a job, we keep your details only as long as they're useful for following up, then delete them. Site analytics are kept in summary form and aren't tied to your name.
How we protect it
We limit who on our team can see customer information to the people who need it to do the work, and we use service providers that protect the data they hold for us.
No website or phone system is completely secure, so we can't promise that information sent to us will never be exposed. Please don't send bank account numbers or other sensitive financial details through the form.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what personal information we have about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it or tell us to stop contacting you. We'll do it unless we have to keep a record for legal or accounting reasons, and if so we'll tell you which record and why.
Before we hand over or delete anything, we may ask you to confirm who you are, so your information doesn't go to the wrong person.
Some states give residents more privacy rights than others. Where a law gives you a right over your information, we'll honor a request made under it.
Children's privacy
Our website is meant for adults arranging work on their homes. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13, and if we learn we have, we'll delete it.
Links to other sites
Our pages sometimes link to outside sites, such as a city or parish office. We don't control those sites, so their own privacy policies apply once you leave ours.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our website, our tools or the law changes. The current version is always the one on this page, and using the site after a change means the updated policy applies.
How to raise a privacy concern
If you have a question about your information or want to make one of the requests above, call us at (337) 216-1882, email us or use our contact page. Tell us what you'd like us to do, and we'll respond within 1 business day.
If you're not satisfied with our answer, say so and we'll look at it again. We'd rather sort it out with you directly.
